Meet Lynda Moore

As I start my 30th year Fall of 2019, I reflect on how much my classroom has changed.  

I have worked in 2 different districts, my first 5 years was in a very small district that housed a middle and high school in the same building.  I teach in a bigger district now and I love it.

I have a paperless classroom and I am 1:1 Chromebooks.

In my career, I have been High School Teacher of the Year, County Teacher of the Year, Start Teacher and I served as Department Chair for the Math dept for 15 years.  

Four years ago, my classroom changed forever with the introduction of Google and getting my Chromebooks. I looked for material to use other than sites, and I could found nothing that was engaging to my students.

So I created my own.

I use Hyper-slides in my classroom and have found a way to use live data, immediate feedback, and self-assessment to build growth minded, engaging lessons that have increased student achievement in not only my classroom but others as well.

When I began my Google classroom experience, I thought a picture of a worksheet shared in Google Classroom was enough. I soon learned it was not when my students hated it. So I jumped into learning everything about the Google suite to engage my students. With a lot of work and wonderful and helpful feedback, I now create interactive, student-centered, data-driven Smart Slides. Now, my students are engaged and every student gets to move at their own pace.
